About
When the Yamaha Music School of Boston closed its doors back in 2021, I found myself starting a home studio with families who wanted to continue with me. It has been an exciting opportunity to re-imagine lessons to include learning well-rounded music skills through fun games. Today, my studio is a cozy one, including Yamaha students who started with me as kindergarteners. I consider it an honor to be entrusted with a child’s music education and am grateful for all our studio piano families.
I have a passion for cultivating a love of quality piano literature, and equipping students with adaptable piano skills that allows them to play by ear, improvise, compose, and arrange. With fifteen years of experience ranging from teaching children to music theory in college, my goal is to provide students with wonderful experiences that inspire them to reach for music as a creative outlet even as they become busy adults, and for the rest of their lives. My formal education is in piano performance (B.M.) and music education (M.S.), with professional certification through MTNA. I studied piano performance with Yuri Kim Neubert at Mannes School of Music, performed throughout the Chicago, New York, D.C., and Boston metro areas, and am a former member of the U.S. Navy Band.
