piano lesson

With sixteen years of teaching experience, my goal is to provide students with wonderful musical experiences that inspire them to turn to music as a creative outlet long after their formal lessons have ended. Pianists are expected to be versatile: you might be asked to perform standards on the spot, sight-read chord charts, improvise, accompany an instrumentalist or singer. I aim to provide students with an adaptable skill set that allows them to enjoy creating and performing music in a variety of settings. My formal education is in piano performance (B.M.) and music education (M.S.), with professional teacher certification through the Music Teacher’s National Association. I studied piano performance with Yuri Kim Neubert at The New School’s conservatory, Mannes School of Music, performed as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the Chicago, New York, D.C., and Boston metro areas, and am a former U.S. Navy Musician.
